You didn't have it on channel 1 long enough. Wait 30 seconds then try it. You should see "NVRAM cleared" on the lower left side of the screen.

I gave it a good 5 minutes this time.. and did (barely) see the NVRAM message (very hard to see against the graphics of CH 1)... can't make any comment yet as to whether my HR34 is snappier, or whether I'm any younger/thinner, or more likely to attract babes at the beach.. will give it a few days and see.

I also perceive no long term improvement on my hr34.

Make sure you leave it on channel one for a good 30 seconds before you do the button punch.

I think that is because the Yellow button changes languages, not because of the procedure we're doing.

yes I went back.. I waited. .I saw the message.. and see no evidence that anything is "better" afterwards.. it was certainly worth a try tho.
