TNAP 7 question

What does OU8 mean during recording on osmio4k with TNAP7
Maybe it's recording from the 8th virtual tuner, OR thinks it is. Or, that could be shorthand for "OUT" meaning it's outputting the recording to the drive.

You DO know that TNAP 7 is still experimental, and not a release candidate, right?

I'm rolling back to 6 since I can't get this to record properly.

I think my osmio is starting to go bad. Tends to lock up from time to time. I doubt I'll replace it unless there are more services worth watching on Ku.

After trying TNAP 7 I've had nothing but problems with recording even though I removed TNAP 7. Using TNAP 6.1 now. Not happy.

I still can't get it to record. The receiver turns on at the record time and the antenna moves to the right sat and the right service is selected but the receiver flashes "Info" instead of "Rec" . WebIF doesn't show it in record mode either. And the receiver doesn't go back to standby when the timer finishes.

On the timer screen, are you selecting "Enabled" then "Zap & Record", or "Just Play"? Then on "After event": "Standby". Recording type should also be "Normal".

IF you are, I would suggest installing it in a different slot, and do NOT do any restore. You want a plain-jane load. Then configure a single sat, and try recording again.

I did a factory reset. But I could do as you suggest.

I use a 128 GB USB memory stick. I'd always intended to get a USB SSD external drive. But the stick works so well that I never got around to it. I do image and system settings backups as well as record shows to it.

I've got a 2TB WD powered drive plugged into mine. Works perfectly.
Unless you can find a lot to record, 2TB is not what I'd connect to my osmio. There's not anywhere near that much to record. Even my 32 GB thumbdrive is overkill. There's only one program that I record off of satellite. And that gets deleted right after I watch it.

It's not working for me. It won't record. Webif doesn't work right either - i.e. the blindscan starts but doesn't show results. Going back to TNAP 6.1

Those aren't known issues of TNAP7 I believe. So either you've discovered unknown issues or you may have hardware trouble if you did a clean image install.

I own two Edision Mio+ boxes since years ago there was a nearby lightning storm and my original box never worked quite right after that. I invested in a second new Mio+ at that time and never regretted it. I kept the old box for parts backup if I ever need them.
