Total lunar eclipse Sunday 27th

Try to catch the eclipse Sunday night, won't be another total lunar until 2033. Off topic-yes, but I thought a few
sky watchers might like to know.

It has in the past (1969-1972).

You can bounce signals off of it with a few KW and efficient high gain antennae...

Hoping for clear skies, might have to set up the telescope and camera...

EME communication (Earth-Moon-Earth) is one of the things on my 'bucket list'. I made a pact with my son that some day we will attempt it.

Meanwhile, looking forward to viewing Sunday's event.

Those were very nice Moon shots with the pocket camera!

Took some pictures. Mosquitoes almost carried us away at the beginning but after a while they went away and it was a beautiful night.
Used the 80X600mm telescope, tracking equatorial mount, and Canon T3i.
