Hey everyone.
was given a transponder to tune to on a certain date and it does not make sense. there is a .5 at the end.

trasnponder 15K lower on galaxy 17
slot "A" (network ID 1)

FEC 3/4 with symbol rate (Ms/s) = 6.1113
Frequency: 11986.5 Mhz Horizontal

should a power scan on my fortec merc II pick it up when the test signal becomes active? or how would something like this be read? since I can't put in .5 of a transponder frequency.

thanks in advance everyone

just drop the .5 at the end...professional boxes allow for more than 5 digits on KU. As an example on a powervu box I have I could enter it as that including the 5 at the end.

but a power scan will be fine and should find the feed

thanks I appreciate that. was the first time seeing a .5 so was not sure how to aproach it

yeah some do that for an odd reason

I know on my Powervu box it allows 4 or 5 digits after the decimal point. Its entered on those boxes in GHz (not MHz) so I would enter it on mine as 11.98650

sorry to be off topic ;)
