Traxis DBS1500

Got one for $.01 plus $20 shipping without remote. Did i make a good deal? Just wanna be sure.

no blind scan

Traxis 1500....simple model unit. 2 drawbacks I know of (I donot have one but worked with one)
-no blind scan
-when you log in the frequencies, it is very sensative...which is good and bad. The bad is if your LNB drifts and say instead of 12000 for a frequency its at 11996, the Traxis wont lock unless its on 11996 (most other boxes would lock on it). When I helped someone aim their dish, the frequency they wanted was 12044 and it would lock at 12041 or 12040 and that was it

i don't think you can use a editor with it or even update the satellites

Actually, I may just use it for the RTN national feed, then modulate it on my system.

its a nice box but can be a pain to program...but for 20 bucks sounds like a decent deal

Ok, I'll need the old thread on this thing. It arrived a few days ago and just now getting around to opening it.

I can see I'll need a different programming cable. Female on one end then male on the other. Also, is there a possibility of converting my Coolsat 4000 list to the Traxis format? I may be out of luck on that one. I'll stick around today to see some input.

EDIT: Nevermind, read the old thread. I'm screwed on that.
