I'm trying to determine the DTV station number for the local channels in chicago. I got most of them but I can't locate CBS-2 and WLS-7. Their supposed DTV channels are 3 and 52. I can't get either. Is this just due to location. I'm in Naperville I guess about 50 miles from downtown. I get the other stations with 7 bars signal strength.

Any help?

Looks like you are about 30 miles from the antenna farm, which is slightly north of east from you.

WBBM-DT is on channel 3 at 4.4KW.

WLS-DT is on channel 52 at 152KW.

Both seem to be slightly under powered comparing with other network DT channels.

What type of antenna are you using? Low VHF channels can be a problem.

You may need a mid-range UHF/VHF antenna with a preamp for solid reception.

Does anyone else in your area have a problem with OTA ch 3 and 52?

Not a lot of help, but some ideas.
