TV/Satellite setup at a Tailgate

Last night I setup my TV and satellite (DirecTV) with my Honda generator to make sure I knew what I was doing. I was able to find a strong signal (90%) but when I went to the guide I didn't have any channels come up.

I was wondering if someone might know why this happened and could help me fix this issue. I really appreciate the help and Thank You in advance.

Nothing showed up at all, or it wasn't extended days out ?

If nothing showed up, do a reboot.
If it wasn't populated for the duration of days, that is normal and will fill in in the next 24 hours.

You're not seeing channels or you're seeing the channels but not the program information?

The distinction is critical.

What sat signal do you have on the 101 ?
Could you be pointed at the wrong sat ?
If your pointed at the wrong sat, but still a D* sat, you would only get a few channels, but you would have to search the channels to see what ones came in, there are not too many left on the sats outside of the 101, if your not pointed at the 101, that could be your issue.

I can't remember what I had on the 101 but I will make sure to look at that next week. That might have been my problem. Thank you for the help Jimbo.

Are you using the same model dish in your test as you use for your home? If it isn't identical in every way that may be your problem and you need to temporarily configure the receiver to work with a different dish setup.

Go thru the "Reset Sat Set Up" portion of the set up and you can change the dish to what ever set up you have.

In the System menu's you can find out what dish it SEE 's currently.
