TV1 and two remotes --it will not do it

I have a 722.

Is there some reason why I cannot get two remotes to work with TV1 at the same time?

I program one and the other immediately won't work, I do it again and the other one won't work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Program both remotes to have the same address.

Well. Ok. Did that. Now they both work.

Is it notillogical that one remote should lose it's capacity to function and have to be reset like that in this circumstance?

You can have as many remotes as you want on one(1) address but the receiver can only respond to 1 address at a time.

or have one IR and one UHF. i think that's how i set mine up. bu now i'm not so sure. will have to check when I get home
