Yep, it would have to be cheap. Like 10 dollars a month. $13 max! Pizza i think charges $20. But, regardless the "value" needs to come back to the BUD that left 7 years ago. I remember thinking how dumb people were for getting ripped off by Pizza and Cable. They were paying way to much compared to us who had Cband. Now, it's not the same. Pizza's actually cheaper on a channel for channel what the channel actually cost the seller basis.

I'm glad the conversation has turned to discussing options and ways to enhance our c-band systems. We all know pizza sucks, we just want to figure out what we can do to work with hits to get their other channels. I agree with highskies on his channel selection, I don't think playboy would add any numbers to our cause. I'd pay for hbo too, but if they're dealing dirty with pizza, let them get sued. If motorola helped us switch the 4d to get the hits feeds, would they possibly help convert the shaw receiver to hits also ? Hopefully someone from hits might chime in and throw us a bone ?

- Adapt a Shaw box to H2H.
- Get programmers that jumped ship due to pressure from pizza conform to selling to all.

If your seriious about getting involved and contacting different people to make it happen then more power to you. If you posting just for the sake of posting don't. What we need are dedicated people that can get stuff done. SRL & Skyvision need a game plan drawn up by us then handed to them to implement. It has to be something of substance. They won't do it by themselves.
Where would the 4D be now without making changes to the game a year ago testing etc? Where would all our maps be if I didn't get involved to do Map Master? Just goes to show you it can be done. Talk is cheap doing is the winning move.

More like a last ditch, lowest cost effort to save thier business of selling programming. Maybe when HITS starts migrating all their channels to S2 or whatever. There will be another re-birth of 4DTV? Hopefully, they stashed a few dollars away from all the years on easy street. Mike took the money and started sobongo! Who knows what SRL is saving for! ATM's?

Glad I sold my 920 I picked up for free a while back since the 8" dish had to go with it too.. made 200 bucks too on faded technology. Paid my DTV bill for 2 months. Man I need to find more and sell lol.

That's crazy! You could have got close to 4 months of SRL's get-it-all pak for $200 and it includes the "word network" among others!
I can't help but wonder if a Motorola HD Cable TV box can understand the muxes on X4 if signal were to be converted to the proper signal range for it to be able to tune it.
I noticed DSR 410 Programming Packages has been updated with TVLand removed.
I think prices should go down a little, especially on the MTV pack, by at least $0.50.

When the MTV pack first started on X4 ku Tv Land was not included and the price was less. When it was added the price increased.

For the BigDish folks, I think this "forced feeding" of "pizza" is the issue, I think this came down to business and greed and developments in technology. You can't ignore the 4dtv is old, no longer made, limited data type support etc.
If we ignore the evil empire perception, this comes down to "good business" for pizza, small dish, compact receiver, DVR, record one - watch another, these are advancements that 4DTV was excluded from....unless you include Shaw in Canada!

2) Activating the box thru HITS - again an "easy" one, BUT I understand that Motorola (?) control which UnitIDs can be activated by which providers.
The activating thing really ticks me off, I have a bunch of DCII boxes with valid IDs and I would give SRL money to activate them for programming. The boxes aren't 920/922/410 but SO WHAT! Why should that matter to anyone other than me?!
I'd accept responsibility for the hardware, just let me activate and send re-hits I'll do the rest!
