Upgrading to get a second 622 receiver

Newbie here. I may already know the answer to this based on what I've read on here so far....but my question is....I subscribed to Dish in December (with the 18 month commitment) and am leasing a 622 and a 625. Well, I think we're ready to upgrade another one of our TVs (the one with the 625) to HD, which means I want to trade in / upgrade the 625 for a second 622.

Now my guess is that they won't want to let me "Dish it Up" and do that since I am in the middle of a contract. The seems pretty ridiculous since I would be willing to pay the upgrade fee / renew the contract, but whatever.

Is this one of those situations where I will have to do the email the CEO kind of thing for this to work out? Also, I know I could just go ahead and call CSR to find out, but so far every interaction I've had with them has been a train wreck, so I thought I would just get the scoop here first, so at least I would know something going in.

You won't get a second 622 by calling the CSRs. Your only two options are to email ceo@echostar.com or buy the 622.

DIU requires you to be a customer for 12 mo. before you can do it. Follow RandallA's recommendation. Good Luck.
