Oh Yeah it's a Religous channel.......which is probably why I didn't even notice it.
I'm just wondering, like everyone else, how they are gonna go about swapping out my POS 811 for a 411 so I can get my locals in HD.......
Guess we'll all know on Jan 9th won't we??

Isn't this a NE GA channel? Or am I thinking WNGM? The one I'm thinking of has our local high school sports broadcasted, and I think it is out of Toccoa or Cornelia.

WGNM 64 is a Georgia channel but it's in Macon not Atlanta maybe that's what you were thinking about??

WNEG is a Media General CBS station out of Toccoa.

Is the LA CBS HD station showing as a test on 129? I would love to upgrade to a Dish 1000 and scrap my second dish that only picks up CBS on 148, but I won't until I can get all the LA HD stations on the Dish 1000.

Any guesses as to when we will be allowed to subscribe to these stations?

yes its currently testing there. But if you upgraded today to a d1000 you wouldnt be able to get it as its not avaible to subscribers. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks as we will find out where everything is going to fall into place ;) as far as what hd channels are going where. expecally LIL hd :)

Thanks for the info! I won't be upgrading until everything is available at 129 and my first step will probably be re-aiming my second dish from 148 to 129. As it stands now I have the older Legacy system with two new lines coming into a 921 DVR. What I want to eventually do is add a 411 (or 211) in my bedroom which now only has OTA thur one coax cable. From what I have read so far I think I should be able to do this without adding a switch.

I do have one additional question - the coax cable to my bedroom was installed in 1989 when the house was built. I have a two story house and the cabling is built into walls and floor joists and cannot be replaced, so the question is what is the effect of trying to use the existing coax with a DishPro system? Would it work at all, or just give less picture quality, or??

Again, thanks for whatever information can be offered here. This is my third post, but I have been following the HD and DVR forum closely since August - this is a gold mine of information for Dish Network and HD TV news. Keep up the good work!

The existing cable that you have will work fine. Just make sure its RG6 and not RG59. The best way to make sure is hook it up to that cable. If its RG59 it will work if its not to long of a run. Some people say don't ever use RG59 but I've seen it work a million times with short runs.

I noticed that channel 20 WOUB - PBS has been added to my market (Charleston/Huntington WV). It is on the EPG and already available to customers. I bet they added it to the 105 and 129 orbital locations.
