USALS Question

I was out at my dish with the receiver and small TV using a a 6 foot RG 6 cable.

USALS was right on the mark, I move receiver back in to house. USALS is way off!

Bad cable?

May also be because you disconnected the receiver! Double check your Lat. and Long. are still entered correctly!

Thanks I will double check.... if it is ok then it could be a cable?

It is highly unlikely that a coax cable is the cause of incorrect USALS motor position. There are three ways that I am aware of that correct USALS calculations could drive a dish to an incorrect location.

1. Motor reset in a position other than zero

2. Bad mother board in motor

3. Defective receiver
