Adjusted the motor's elevaton to my longitute. Briefly scanned 125w and 12180v30000 came in at 15% (clear picture). Scanning everything from 58 to 125w now.

Cheers, K

Kraven,
Did you mean you set the motor elevation to your LAT rather than to your longitude?

Ketchup, Catsup...you know what I mean. Its adjusted. :D

Cheers, K

PS- If I was saracstic, I'd say, "well yeah... I adjusted it to -75 degrees... DUH!"

Looks liks am alligned pretty well. 327 channels scanned in from 72w to 125w. Usuals, now that I have the correct settings motor elev, is spot on except for 125w (slight adjustement via diseq).
The only missing channels are Cozi and NBC East off 103 and Daystar off 123w (NBC Mountain and West are at 70%). Going to move the tripod to the other side today and try 15w to 72w.

Cheers, K

15W's MSNBC and 30W's Cubavision both came in at a string 70%. I'd normally have a receivable arc of 15w to 125w, rather than the current 61w to 125w, if it wasnt for that jungle my neighbours are keeping in their backyard.

Cheers, K

Correct. When the wind blew the leaves out of way about a week ago, I got TPAI/RTVGE at SQ 70%. Interestingly, same wind only briefly allowed SQ 50% on MSNBC tp. I wonder if lower frequency of MSNBC is blocked more by obstacles, or maybe MSNBC tp is just a little weaker here. I even bumped dish either way and couldn't get MSNBC to equal the powerful TPAI/RTVGE tp signal quality.

With such a good signal from 15W, you should try for the new Channel 316 from Sweden on 11771 V 4800.

IIRC, the MSNBC trans. was fluxing between 56 to 60%. I didnt bother trying to fine tune the dish. The picture never broke up nor froze.
