Way Up North
I have a v-box III from dms international bought a few years ago. I now after a 130 mile/hr. wind find I have to realign the dish mount. My normal true south was/is 129W but there is no linear ku signal there to align with any more. I have to use 125W as my most south alignment satellite now and my question is with the v-box III the 4 degrees difference is what on the v-box counter, I use a von-weise 24 inch acuator to an orbitron sx12 mount with a 6ft solid andrews on board. I have to place the mount at 4 degrees east of the true center position then rotate the dish to the 125W position then fine tune for the center signal get back on the arch. It's off by quite a bit as I have only 1 satellite at the 91W position and nothing else on the entire arch I used to have them all with very good strength but only 91W since the big wind 3 weeks ago. Winters coming and I want to do it ASAP, before the snow.

Does not work that way, the pulse is generated from the motor, and all motors are different.

What I would do is use C Band to find the center, and find the pulse count between a couple of Sats.
Then fine tune using Ku.
