I wanted to share this specific app with everyone here because I know from past discussions about devices that support DLNA (Dish Hopper, PS3, GoogleTV) people are looking for dead simple ways to stream .mkv files to their TVs. Well with your Chrome browser and Chromecast. It doesn't get much simpler than this app in the Chrome Web Store.

This is Videostream for Chromcast

Load the app. Select a video file on your PC/Network. Select your Chromecast. Sit back and relax.
It supports 1080p, .mkv, .mp4., .avi files even ones with subtitles. No media server necessary.

There's even an Android remote app:

I threw some various files at it of different sizes and storage locations and it took every one of them. Great little app. Let me know what you guys think. :D
