VIP622 hi-def troubles

I've got 3 VIP622's and on two of them the hi-def output is not working. The standard def output works but the hi def does not. I'm guessing that they
probably need to be replaced which would be bad as I own them!
Is this common?

There were HDMI problems with the earlier 622's, but I haven't heard anything about that in a while. If your boxes are older, perhaps that could be your problem. I had a hard drive failure on a 622 a while ago, long out of warranty etc, and Dish sent me another receiver for pretty much shipping and handling. (I also owned) Anyways you might be surprised if you do have to replace them. Good luck.

Thanks, for the help, it was in fact the HDMI connector on the back of the unit that failed. The component makes it work now.
