Weatherproof Enclosure

I am looking for a weatherproof enclosure (simular to picture below) to mount on the side of my house that will contain my coax grounding blocks and DiSEQc switch. A 3/4" conduit containing a dual RG-6U cable will run from the attic into the top of this box and another 3/4" conduit containing a dual RG-6U cable will run from the bottom of this box to my dish.

Thank you Cascade! After doing some searches, I found this one for only $40 that would mount right onto the pole.

I would then run a 10AWG cable from the grounding block through the conduit to the service panel grounding rod.

Send me a PM. I have a high end box made for a fiber optic interface. Stainless hardware, with a hinged cover and neoprene gasket. It also has ears to allow mounting on a pole with standard stainless steel hose clamps or large black UV resistant wire ties, which I will include. I can supply it with or without the back hole, which is for wall entry.

The huge box at the bottom is what I have on my house now. The Voom install added a OTA AMP (6x3x2) and a multiswitch and it wouldn't fit in the cable box any more. I bought this one so I could have a box that would close . It was about $24 to my door.

I'm terminating about 16 RG-6 cables in mine - lol.

I got your message. As I stated $20 delivered by Priority Mail, anywhere in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii.

I use these a lot on roofs to put sw21's in, when I cascade to 61.5. The switches and connectors are fully protected from the weather.

I can beleive it - it's pretty thin plastic.

It's also not a 'sealed' box. It's more of a weather deterrant.

Here in PHX the cold isn't an issue and it's 'good enough' for the little bit of rain we do see.

When I was Cable / DeMark box shopping I was flat out amazed that I couldn't buy anything locally. Non of the chain stores had anything. I came REAL close to gutting a small electrical or sprinkler control box.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I decided to buy the one from Mike for my 1.2m dish and the one Shawn suggested for my multiple smaller dishes on the other side of my house.

The one's I have came from a failed dot.com or fiber optic company. They are desighed for a special printed circuit board. The box is quite substantial, and made as good as or even better than the ones for relephone service, which hangs for years and years without fail on the side of houses.

There is something about the material that they use on the Cabletek boxes. Some last and last. But others are brittle and break apart, even at room temperature. I think it depends on the amount of filler that they use for the resin. I've had this happen to a number of their boxes.

The ones I have have never cracked. My other favorite is the Telecrafter Omni III shown below.

I bought this one from eBay. It got it in 2 days. It was about $20 including shipping. It can be mounted on the pole or wall.
