fine Hart.

You go and defend a kid who did something stupid.

I'll defend a kid who died at my school in just about the safest place you could pick.

Laughable, ain't he huh HD? Anyone that knows me knows I will call out my team or players when the proof is out there. Hell, I even started a thread DEMANDING that my Jokeland Faiders BENCH their prize QB! LOL!

Show some testicular fortitude to admit that the suspesion is a joke. But I doubt that will happen because it took heat from everyone on the site to have you even admit he gouged eyes!

Yes and No. He is trying to change the subject, but his criticism is correct.

Georgia has been racking up the stupid penalties for the last few years.
The thing that pisses me off, is the excuses from some of the Dawg faithful that the eye poke is why we lost the game.

No, Willie and Bobo are why. Not to mention the lack of discipline that CMR has on the team.

Goes to show you, would he have done this HIMSELF without public pressure?
Probably not, but at least he made it for the next game (granted it's Vanderbilt), unlike Richt who skipped a game in order to suspended a player on the 1-AA game following the Florida game instead of the Florida game itself.

Thanks for being the voice of reason in this thread.

Now you have to contact Urban Meyer and tell him of your outrage that your player is suspended for an entire game, while people are being murdered on campus.

Yeah, voice of reason.

he should be suspended to protect future players. he has pretty much scared all of his future opponents with this. the fact blount gets a season and he gets 1 half is ridiculous. good thing urban meyer isn't the coach of my team

If he was your team might be undefeated ;)

ONLY because of the pressure from the media...and maybe who knows, the SEC or the school or both!

Goes to show you, would he have done this HIMSELF without public pressure?

I don't like this guy less because he decided to do the right thing(imho), but I like him even more. Sometimes pointing out the right thing to do for someone, or to someone, is what a person needs.

I commend him for taking this action, even if it's in a cupcake of a game.

This guy has a pretty clean track record from what I've heard, I don't want to see, or need to see for that matter, an example set here.

but then again most wouldn't have done this either even with the public pressure ;) it's a good thing no matter how you look at it. makes the coach look like a fool though. maybe meyer is still waiting for his right testicle to drop.

They are working on 18 this weekend.

Pete Carrol took over USC in 2001. They won 1 title and split another. They also constantly win the PAC 10 championship (with a conference that weak they should!)

Urban Meyer was the first coach from a NON-automatic BCS bid team to make it to a BCS game, He also lead Utah to its first undefeated season. But lets just stick to what hes done at FLA. Came to florida in 2005. His first year he lead a FLA team that did horrible the year before to a 9-3 season including a bowl win. His second season he lead FLA to a 13-1 season including a national title. in 2007 they went 9-3 and lost the bowl game. In 2008 They again go 13-1 and win another national title. And so far this year his record is far better then USC's.... We didnt lose to our cupcakes...

Meyer is second only to Pete carrol in all time winning % as college coach..

Meyer 91-17
Carrol 94-17

But in BOTH cases, ALOT has to do with the players they have recruited and VERY LITTLE with coaching.

BOTH coaches recruit in HOTBEDS full of talent. Meyer did well at UTAH because he didn't have to play alot of the LSUs, Alabamas and Georgias of the NCAA world until bowl games.

College football is a lot about recruiting, but you have to coach them once you get them to come to your school. Prime example is Ron Zook, great recruiter horrible coach.

Is Randy Shannon a better coach or recruiter than Larry Coker, or both?

So Brandon Spikes does what Meyers should have done - suspended himself for the WHOLE game. Who is the adult in this situation? Way to own it Spikes.:up:up:up
