As I am still awaiting my motor I have been randomly scanning 97 thru 105 and despite being fully locked in I am not pulling any feeds! Is 87-95 totally useless now on ku? I see nothing on lyngsat. I used to constantly scan in feeds from 87-117 all day. Lol. Please tell me its just a slow 5 days. Lol

I can receive 87W through 95W on two different Ku systems. There is very little, if anything, to receive from those Ku satellites. You will mostly find transponders on 97W through 123W on Ku, with most transponders being on 97W through 105W.

Personally, I also have a "simple" C-band system which gives me more stuff to receive. Simple, for me, means only a manually pushed 7.5-foot dish, no actuator. When I tune elevation, azimuth and LNBF skew correctly, this allows me to receive much of what's on 87W through 139W, though lots of it is encrypted.

Nothing on 87-95 nowadays. Still lots on 97, 99, some on 101 and 105. A lot of things that would've been put on 87 seem to be putting on 123W atm.

97, 99, 101, 105 and 123 are the main Ku sats now.

I would emphasize 99W and 101W for full-time channels. These are the two Ku satellites that have the most interesting transponders. Though 97W has all the Newsource feeds. What a change from 2010 when I first started.

Right! I remember when 89-93 we full of feeds, especially the old T6 on 93! 97 was never feeds, just like 360 foreign channels and nbc was on 103. It sucks I cant get anyything west of 111 because of trees. Im wondering if i will when the leaves fall.

I had to take my 1-meter KU dish down because of a new deck being put up. I'm still wondering whether it's worth it to put it back up? I used to be able to get everything between 87 and 125.

Yes, put it back up. There are still lots of transponders with viewable channels on Ku 72W through 123W. If you get bored with Ku, install a C-band LNBF on that dish (or on a dish a little larger is better) and accept the challenge of finding/scanning C-band satellites.
