So I have been weeding away at my to do lists and finally gotten the list whittled down enough that i finally am able to purchase my first KU fta system. But I have no idea what websites are reputable, where the best deal is ECT. I was going to purchase from galaxy marketing before i read that the company is now defunct and they havent removed the website. I also have a 10' c-band dish that i will be moving and reinstalling that i will more then likely need parts for so im searching for a place to find parts. I live in the midwest in the US. Thanks in advance for your help.

List of reputable dealers off the top of my head:
Michael Electronics (Yours Truly)
eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/michaelelectronics/
Titanium Satellite Brian is the one to deal with here, the inventor of the ASC1.http://www.titaniumsatellite.com
Hyper Mega Sat Casey has tons of stuff.http://hypermegasat.com/Index.html

Rick Caylor is a good guy at Rick's, http://www.gofastmotorsports.com/ ..... and Mike Kohl at http://www.global-cm.net/ is a great guy to deal with.
Tell them Michael, KE4EST sent ya.

I know I am probably missing a couple.

Thanks for the information, I wound up ordering a motorized KU setup on amazon from sadoun, and used the link so satellite guys will get a little bit of a kickback from the order. IM hoping this will get our feet wet so in a few months we can start monkeying around with the c-band dish. I seen quite a few parts ill likely be ordering for the c-band dish on your site as well so that is a plus. Im excited to start the project with my kid and be able to show him what it was like for me as a kid watching the dish move along the arc and be able to watch stuff from around the world and hopefully he will learn some skills during the tuning phase.

Maybe showing my age and the fact I was out of the hobby for a while, what happened to Sadoun, or GeoSat? Are they still around?

You can't go wrong with the dealers KE4EST mentioned above.

However, avoid "Galaxy Marketing". The website is still there for some unknown reason, but last I checked (by calling the listed phone numbers) it was out of business. Its been that way for over a year.

Sadoun and SatelliteAV (GeoSat) are still in business, just not aggressively working the FTA market anymore.
