This year in Minneapolis we could see the Broncos on local TV 16 out of 17 weeks this year...ok 15 if you dont have ESPN
The only week was week 6 when it was JAX @ DEN or TN @ SEA and we got Seattle.

Not sure how Dayton is getting away with showing an early game with Cincinnati playing at home and being on TV, but the rules are so crazy and it's early yet. Usually the last game of a Bengal season is not a sell-out so it could be a "planned" and not a "for real".

zap2it now shows no early game on Fox. With the schedule changes after Sunday's game screwed up alot of markets

yes it is. Usually we get alot of the Broncos games as we get mainly late games on CBS (due the Vikes being on Fox...Vikes at home no game can go against it) but this year takes the cake.

that doesnt make sense as Dayton is a secondary market, not a primary. The only rules of a secondary market is it HAS to show all road games and can be blacked out if the game is sold out. Nothing says they cant show a game opposite the home team so they should get both games of the DH on FOX. Only the primary has the "no game goes opposite the local team when they at home" (hence the fact in Minneapolis we have no early CBS game)

The station the transmitter and the entire city of Dayton is within 75 miles of Paul Brown Stadium, AND the game is a sell-out, announced earlier today. I thought that was reason enough. Things are still in flux. A friend who works there (WKEF/WRGT) tells me that the final choices aren't made until Thursday afternoon. He is a photog so he has no idea what is going on.

Because they moved the Bills-Pats game to 4:25 on CBS, Boston isn't getting the Packers-Bears game at 4:25 on FOX. Thank Goodness for Red Zone Channel!!

no. JP (the506.com) has a great section on how it works (and he even used Cincy as an example). Here are the hilites
A television market, in layman's terms, is the general viewing area of a set of local stations....i.e. the Cincinnati TV market is the area served by that city's stations.
A primary market is the one in which the team is physically located....for instance, the Bengals' only primary market is Cincinnati.
Most teams also designate secondary markets. In order to be designated as a secondary market, a portion of it must be located within 75 miles of the stadium. Not all teams designate all markets within 75 miles as secondary markets. For instance, the Bengals designate Dayton, Ohio and Lexington, Kentucky as their secondary markets, although not Louisville even though Louisville stations reach within 75 miles of Cincinnati.
Primary and secondary markets are required to air all road games of the team in question, and are not allowed to air blacked out home games (see below).
If the local team is playing at home and the game is sold out, it is the only game allowed to be televised in that primary market at that time, even if the opposite network has a doubleheader.

So the only rules for Dayton are
-they HAVE to show all Bengals road games
-if the game isnt sold out they HAVE to black it out

There is no rule that says they can't show a game opposite the home team. That is only in the PRIMARY market (Cincy).
