Which one is right?

The dish 1000 instruction manual has azimuth, elevation and skew settings for a particular zipcode and the receiver has different settings. How do I know which one is the correct one to use?

Go by what the receiver tells you.

How much different are the settings?

go by the book. it's should be good because i don't think receiver can do dish 1000 settings it does dish 300, 500, and super dish

by the book, reciever only does what volkodav said.

By the book. The receiver will give settings for a 300, 500 or SuperDish system. If you end up using the receiver, at the very least your skew will be off and you will have a hard time getting good signal on both the 110 and 129.

DISH makes a 1000 dish/ a1000.2 dish & a 1000+ dish each is a different animal. Go with the instructions that came with your dish.
