The dish 1000 instruction manual has azimuth, elevation and skew :(settings for a particular zipcode and the receiver has different settings. How do I know which one is the correct one to use?

go by the book. it's should be good because i don't think receiver can do dish 1000 settings it does dish 300, 500, and super dish

By the book. The receiver will give settings for a 300, 500 or SuperDish system. If you end up using the receiver, at the very least your skew will be off and you will have a hard time getting good signal on both the 110 and 129.

DISH makes a 1000 dish/ a1000.2 dish & a 1000+ dish each is a different animal. Go with the instructions that came with your dish.
