Who has a DMSI 8x1 DiSEqC Switch working

Yes I have not only RTFF but other forums as well and haven’t found a straight answer

All I would like is a simple yes or no

Will a DMSI 8x1 work on a Sonicview 8000



Please don’t say maybe because I will punch my face if yes do you have it working on a Sonicview 8000 or what other receiver.

I wouldn't buy the DMSI 8x1, based on Linuxman's review.
Unfortunately, who knows if your receiver could even command the Digiwave?

The Digiwave switch will work on a receiver that has an uncommitted option only (Diseqc 1.1)

the manual **claims** that it has 1,1 control

DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 & USALS / 22KHz Switching Control Supported

but with all manuals, YMMV

Darn it I bought the DMS hoping all 8x1 are created equal guess not
Well there has to be a receiver that works with this switch if anyone has it working please tell me what receiver work with this switch.

I have held off purchasing one because of fear of my Diamond controlling it properly. Even though it's capable, my receiver is finicky with DiSEqC switches in general. I have a couple Pansat branded switches that work fine, others I have require the power off-on cycle to switch ports. :rant:

Those other switches work fine with other receivers.

I notice our sponsors don't seem to even carry the 8x1 switches.
