After much reading here for the past year I am still confused, Not surprising. I have been playing with a Pansat 3500s and a small dish for about a year. Looks like the LNB has died. So on to my original plan. I have a Paraclipse 9 foot dish with a Chaparral polarotor and a 24' actuator. I also have the forementioned Pansat 3500s and a VBOX III. At this point the dish and actuator are not installed. I would like to utilize my current equipment and maximize my reception so I was thinking a C/KU dual feedhorn but I have no idea on what eqipment I need. The same is true on the receiver.
Here's my question.
Should I look at a 4dtv sidecar and will that work with the Pansat?
Will the VBOX handle moving the big dish?
What are the pros and cons of the C/KU feed horns, I see fairly in-expensive units and very expensive units claiming to do the same thing.
Assuming you had the same equipment what would add/remove to complete the system?
