It will be allot better than the Ipad and they will have lighter models coming out as well so not all of them will be tablets .. They might have some Quad Cored models out so right now it's way to early to see everything that is coming out. But the top manufactures will be making their hardware so Ipad will be a good product but it's still a mac.. At this point buy what you like to use but it's easy to see Microsoft is showing up at the party and they will have 1st choice when it comes to the latest hardware from the top manufactures.

Absolutely! MS is taking essentially the same path they did 10+ years ago on a little more modern hardware, but with desktop apps and a desktop OS with some touch added. Hasn't been a big deal in sales since they first came out.

Microsoft is showing up at the party a bit late in the game. The party isn't over, but the wet t-shirt contest ended already. And all the pretty girls have hooked up.

As long as it tries to be a PC and a tablet, and not just a tablet, it won't be better than an iPad or an Android tablet.

Nah...
Samsung tablet used in demonstrations (and giveaways) had an Intel i5 CPU.
But NVidia did not miss the chance to remind about Kal El compatibility with Windows 8
