OTHER X2 Premium HD PVR Satellite Receiver

madworld, which firmware is in the box you are using, that would be helpful. Generally I got about the same results as you, mine had firmware dated April23, I believe. I backed it up, and loaded the file on the website, May20 dated. I noticed the scanning slowed down a bit with that firmware, but the sound problem was still there for me. I was using the spdif jack to run my home theater amp for sound, but it would cut off the sound after about 30min. Going to hook it back up tonight and see if that setting for LL or whatever makes any difference on the audio problem, think I already had tried it but didn't note it anyplace.

I correct myself- that firmware is the same as the original firmware in mine, Apr9, not apr23. I restored from backup usb tonight (late, after the hockey game!). Will try to use until the next update becomes available. Without reliable audio output though, it won't be a day-to-day use receiver.

Official latest is March 30 2013, beta unofficially released is May 20 2013. For HH motor you need to create a sat list in alpha numerical order from 45W to 139W in order for them to work properly. We expect to have this from X2 on the next USA file release

Same as I'm using, the H-H motor seems to work quickly, and I don't have all the satellites in 'arc' order either ,lol. some of them are waaay apart but it does go to them as it should, or seems to. The audio thing is the major problem, mine apparently isn't passing any AC3 signal out to the home theater amp, I've been watching it tonight and the Dolby sign never lights up on the amp. But regardless of dolby or pcm , sound cuts off after about 20min anyway. What the setting is on HDMI seems to not matter.

How about April 7th 2013?.. that came with my second unit last month that I use at my office. Isn't that official?

Actually a nice pack out. I didn't expect the wireless sdapter or Hdmi cable with the unit.

Although its the first receiver I purchased that did not come with batteries with the remote. (Or in this case remotes)

Scott, what version software did your unit arrive with? Pro96 says Apr9 has been his best for daily use firmware, but I find it loses audio after about 20minutes of use. Changing channels brings it back, but it acts like its cutting off the spdif jack about every 20min. He may be using his with the composite cable instead of HDMI, I don't think the problem affects the red/white/yellow cable at all.
