YTTV to offer new packages

I have not come across them yet. And honestly, I am a little dissapointed in the prices of the packages - I thought that there was going to be a couple of dirt cheap packages thrown in (in the $30-$40 range), not the lowest being $55.
i think they said they're going to roll out new plans throughout the year. My hypothesis is they're going to see who bites on the new plans and who doesn't. or see how many new signups they get.

If the current new plans are just existing customers downgrading, and not getting net new customers, i'll bet they start introducing cheaper ones to attract new folks fast.

I never saw anything about them bringing them out thru out the year, but that would be the way to drag this out ...

From what we were seeing late last year was that these new packages were coming early 2026.

Has anyone been able to get Any of these new packages yet ?
I haven't checked in the last few days.

Does YTTV have a listing of all the channels that are in what packages available yy

So, the "news" package doesn't include BBC World News! The "entertainment" package doesn't include AMC! A lot of others are missing also. You have to pay the full $82.99 to get these channels.

This one is interesting..custom package ..build your own bundle

Still, Not Available .... at least here ...

Has Anyone been able to access the new skinny bundles ?

They bring another video out about every week talking about them, lets get them out to people.

The guy on the video Is right, why would you drop down to a skinny bundle and save $5 (example) and lose a bunch of other channels with it ?

Considering that most of those channels have nothing but reruns, content that is available free on services like PlutoTV, I can see why subscribers would not want to pay for them.

I see that the sports tier, would save you about $18 a month, available to myself.

Click on your avatar, then settings, then membership pops up, click on explore plans, you will see the options.

I did that earlier ... Explore Add Ons ... the extra channels pop up that they have always had.

Has anyone gotten access to the new stuff yet ?

Fwiw, you don't have to remind people (that they are all reruns in your opinion) every post.

Many like the reruns, I watch Big Bang quite often when I have nothing important going on (and others).

I don't want to have to go to yet Another App for that.

This is why I have been fighting for your Local MLB games to be on the same app as the rest.
I have MLB.TV, if your wanting the local team you should be able to give it to you on the same app (fortunately Detroit Sportsnet is on the MLB.TV app).

I can see them on my side now, but no "skinny" plans. Just the combination plans already announced that are all still very close to the price of the full package. Very disappointing. I thought they were actually serious about skinny packages too like News Only, Locals only, etc. But no sign of anything like that.

The new plans are not under Explore Add Ons.

I admit I'm a sucker for these rerun marathons too. My wife & I are both teachers, so we have the luxury of getting home early in the afternoon. Typically we'll make supper, and sit and watch Andy Griffith on TV Land until around 7pm. Some nights we switch to a local station that shows it from 7-8, and then MeTV has it from 8-9 if nothing else is on. By that time she settles in with Big Bang Theory reruns on one of the 3+ channels that air it every night. Logo is one of my favorites too because they air long blocks of Mama's Family several times a week.

Sure we could stream it, but it's more convenient to just pick the channel sometimes.

I have no issue with watching reruns, just paying for them when they are available elsewhere for free.

If I pay for a service, I want new content and in the best quality available.

That is what Pluto TV is, all channels ( and on demand), just available via streaming for free.

I have watched The Beverly Hillbillies channel many times on there.

Pluto shows a limited selection of episodes from most shows, not full series runs. For the casual viewer that's great, but if you're a fan of a particular show you notice the difference pretty fast.

The same is true of streaming services and older legacy shows in many cases too. I Love Lucy is on Paramount Plus for example, but not the complete run. Same with the Brady Bunch and others. Due to music rights they can only stream partial seasons, not every episode.

Pluto has quite a few classic TV channels including I Love Lucy and Andy Griffith that are on 24 hours a day. Quite a few old western channels too.

I'm not disputing that. What I'm saying is you're not going to see the entire 249 episode run of Andy Griffith there. Same with the Beverly Hillbillies and other shows. They either skip select episodes (due to rights issues) or entire seasons, or just show a small selection of episodes over and over again. If you're a casual viewer looking for background noise Pluto is great.

i would think that if there are rights issues with a particular episode, that episode would not be available anywhere? You are right though that a lot of these FAST services do only show certain eps or seasons, but the same is true of the traditional TV marathons. They usually run through the most popular eps, seasons, or story arcs.

I Love Lucy is on Paramount Plus for example, but not the complete run.
You've got me curious now! It was definitely not complete during the CBS All Access Days, but I thought it's complete now? I just watched through a few months ago and it appeared all the eps were there except the Xmas Special (just a flashback ep) and the "lost pilot." What else did I miss? I do wish they would have the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour on there though.

Paramount+ and HBO Max to merge

Looks like Netflix/Warner Bros. is happening. (or maybe not.)
