I had planned to move my parents to one of the lower-cost YTTV plans, but it seems I might have to switch them to a different service altogether. Their YTTV account is under my dad's name. For the first time ever, YTTV has asked him to verify his location, which apparently requires using the mobile app. Well, the problem is that my dad doesn't have a smartphone. All he has is an Intel Mac laptop, and that doesn't count. He is not very tech savvy at all.
Currently, they cannot watch TV. I spent 2 hours on the phone with my dad last night trying to help him fix it with no success. I cannot travel the 11 hours to do anything in person because I am still recovering from back surgery. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
If we can't get it fixed soon, they'll probably have to switch back to Spectrum.
