If they cancel, then add it back, it will cost $20 more, as they get the early bird price instead of renewal price.

Well if he is getting SF for free, then its worth it.
99$ vs 20$.

You don't necessarily have to ask to cancel, you could always approach them by telling them that Superfan or Sunday ticket is too expensive for your budget, and ask them if there is anything they can do to help you.

Just get the cancellation department. We know they have many offers to keep you around, but you don't necessarily have to ask to cancel if you know what I mean.

I followed IceWolf's directions exactly and also had the fee waived. Received an email confirmation from D* not 5 minutes later with the credit for Superfan. Thanks Ice!

Sunday Ticket and SF renewal confirmation email

Just received my confirmation email yesterday from D* for auto renewal for ST and SF. They are broke down into 6 monthly charges of $41.50 ($249.00) and $16.50 ($99.00) respectively. Have yet to make the call to see if I can get SF charges waved. Won't be long and it will just be an additional monthly charge (12 months a year) if the price keeps going up. But still, how much to attend a single game in person? Haven't done that since 1st year of new Browns stadium.

I tried this via e-mail and was told no discount. I'll try and call. I have a feeling I am going to dump the Ticket. I dig it, but the price-point over 3 bills is too much. Enough is enough.

Keep trying, I think speaking over the phone could get you better luck then email!

Any chance in me talking my way into getting Superfan for me if I am a new subscriber? I plan on getting this and the Sunday Ticket anyways, but free would be much nicer.

Canceled the Ticket.Now what?

I cancelled my Ticket today with no fight from the operator.I also had to call to get the SF renewal off my bill. That took a little bit more. I tried last year to get SF for free and failed.Maybe a complete cancellation will bring them around. Also,I have seen on tv that if you call 1800getsports you would have received $30 off your renewal.I also got in the mail a $20 off renewal. What is the deal with that?I will be patient and see what happens.

just checked my july bill and i'm going to get SF for free. there was actually something posted on my account about this, maybe 10 days ago, but i didn't pay attention. i got it for $49 the first year they offered, i didn't have dtv the second year, last year i begged and got it for free. this year i was just waiting for the charges to appear on my bill before i would have called. i guess i pay dtv enough money every month and don't really bug them about freebies, so......

I know there are supposed to be 4 installments for SF instead of the 5 with ST... when's the first SF due? Is it right away in July? If so, I guess I may have caught a break too, because I don't see that charge on my bill, but I do see the ST.

i think it was 6 installments of ST and 5 for SF. didn't think about that because i presumed (according to last weeks email) that both would begin billing in july.

anyone else notice this on there july bill?

ETA: i reread the email. it clearly said 6 installment payments for both ST and SF. however, someone at dbstalk is reporting he was told that SF was free this year if you are an autorenewal for ST and SF. please check your july bills. thanks.

Ice,
Keep an eye on the D* SF billing.
A few weeks back, mine said it was free as well and then went away and is not listed anymore.
I haven't checked it since, so I guess I should take a look now.

the initial 0.00 charge would have been the autorenewal kicking in. but in late june, i had a second 0.00 SF charge post to my account.

at dbstalk, several are reporting being charged for SF and several are saying they aren't. plus, there was a post from someone who claimed a csr had told him SF was free this year for anyone autorenewing ST and SF.

CHECK YOUR JULY BILL!

CHECK YOUR JULY BILL!

I get a paper bill so I can't really check my bill online (or they'll discountinue my paper bill  ) but when I look at my "current setup" it looks like the attached picture.

that's what my setup looks like plus what has posted on the bill.

i quess my question right now would be....anyone have ST and SF last year who was charged for SF in their july bill? i'm reading at dbstalk that many haven't been charged for SF!

My current bill shows this:

06/02 07/01 NFL SUNDAY TICKET Renewal Notice: No Payment Due 0.00

06/04 07/03 NFL SUNDAY TICKET SuperFan Renewal Notice: No Payment Due 0.00

07/02 07/01 NFL SUNDAY TICKET Early Renewal in 6 Payments 41.50

07/04 08/03 NFL SUNDAY TICKET SuperFan Renewal Notice: No Payment Due 0.00

I see the ST renew fee being posted this month, does the SF portion mean I am getting it free ?
Or has the SF billing just not kicked in yet ?

Jimbo
