Who was the first anchor on air that you saw on ESPN?(This question can have a lot of answers)

--My cable company didn't have ESPN when it first came out so the first person I saw was Tom Mees. I really liked him, he was the best Hockey announcer I ever heard.

Dan Patrick, Keith Olbermann, Chris Berman, Linda Cohn and Charley Steiner.

Who was the first anchor on air that you saw on ESPN?(This question can have a lot of answers)

George Grande was the anchor of the very first SportsCenter back in 1979, so he would have been the first one I saw as I remember watching that "historic" broadcast at work at WTTV here in Indy!!!...

Most hockey fans know Wayne Gretky has the record for most goals in one regular season.
Who had the Record before Gretzky?
Part two. Which player has the most career regular season goals(NHL only) that never played on a Stanley Cup winning team?

So what the heck's the answer? We've had multiple guesses....

Marcel Dionne
Bingo!!!!!
Doinne toiled away as a prolific scorer for relatively weak teams. The 9 time 40 goal scorer's teams never made it past the second round of the playoffs.
N 1980-81 Dionne and his LA Kings were one of the most prolific scoring teams in the NHL that season. Dionne, Dave Taylor and Charlie Simmer amassed 161 goals and 191 assists. The team won 43 games that season but were bounced out of the first round of the playoff by the NY Rangers 3 games to one.

9 members of the 3000 hit club never played on a World Series winning team.
Name as many as you can.
Bonus questions...Who is the all time hit leader to never have been a part of a WS winning team?
Three of these players who've had 3000 or more hits never played in a WS game. Name two

Robin Yount, Carl Yastremski, Rafael Palmeiro, Rod Carew, Craig Biggio and Tony Gwynn. Unfortunately, I'm drawing a blank on the other three. :D

He spent most of his career with the Dead Things (as the Red Wings were known then.)

Rafael Palmeiro and Rod Carew???

Correct on the second question(Carew and Palmero never played in a WS game. I'll allow morte time for someone to come up with the third.
The other 3000 hit members are all correct.
Very good work. There are three more.
Yaz is incorrect.

I would call it very similar, especially the "Darkness with Harkness" days. Old Red Wing fans will remember those times. Very similar to the Millen Error. Don't miss them, that's for sure. The Wings have been winning for so long that one forgets those dark, cold nights at Olympia. Attendance was so bad that you could buy $2 nosebleed seats and worm your way down to seats by the ice by the end of the first period, if not sooner. Bad, bad team.
