Doinne toiled away as a prolific scorer for relatively weak teams. The 9 time 40 goal scorer's teams never made it past the second round of the playoffs.
N 1980-81 Dionne and his LA Kings were one of the most prolific scoring teams in the NHL that season. Dionne, Dave Taylor and Charlie Simmer amassed 161 goals and 191 assists. The team won 43 games that season but were bounced out of the first round of the playoff by the NY Rangers 3 games to one.
