4/8/2009 1:10pm - Uplink Activity Report - 93 changes - STILL NOT VIACOM

CBS College Sports HD is not new. I've watched it several times. It shows upconverted re-runs of the CBS games.

Why can't Dish just give an explanation of what is going on with national HD? This company is so disfunctional. Does anyone have any inside information!?

Wow, a huge number of EPG update for OTA sub channels. Congrats to those affected for that. No more "Digital Service" for the listings!!!

Probably will see Ciel2 TP 5 light up next wed the 15th. They told ?FCC transisiton will be done by the 15th and have permission to move to 148 starting on that date.

Please explain the "no more digital Service" for the listings, as I have seen that for my local ota's since signing up with dish. My understanding is because I don't subscribe to the local package via dish and utilize my antenna is why I don't see the guide. Has that since changed??

So, that's just a programming guide update? Is a channel being put there too, because the local Fox affiliate for here is listed on that update. I'm wondering if we may be closer to Fox in HD?

That CBS College sports channel takes CBS hd and then somehow makes it much worse when it retransmits it.

Also, since this thread didn't have "No Viacom" in the title, I let myself get my hopes up...

Yes, you do have to sub to your locals in order to see EPG data for your OTA's. aperry was referring to the fact that the EPG channels have to be uplinked for a given OTA channel or subchannel before you will see the data, even if you subscribe to locals.

Yeah, it's horrible. I don't understand how they can't get the HD signal from CBS. Sometimes I think they do get it because it doesn't look stretched but I don't know what they do to it to make it look that bad.
