Realy?!?!? I would take that trade in a heartbeat!

NO WAY!! Beasley JUST TURNED 20....and when was given the playing time...he almost averaged 20/10 in 35 minutes of playing time when he would get it(somethere around 19/8)....which is what a 30 year old Boozer is doing. Beasley needs to improve on his defense...no doubt. But with a decent center, you can somewhat cover-up those defensive lapses on occassion....like a free safety in football.

Offensively, Beasley is THAT GOOD and THAT unstoppable. His issues have been defense. A tad to slow to cover small fowards and a tad to small to cover power forwards.

I'd take Beasley in a heartbeat as well.

Regarding Big Ben Wallace, he's pretty much done for his career, not even a shell of his former dominant self

I honestly think it was the system. Detroits' defense scheme was the best. NOBODY played defense like they did....nobody. Once he went to a system/s where he was part of an engine as opposed to be the main clog of the engine, he was exposed and his weaknesses were there for all to see.

You hit the reason for Wallace's success in Detroit two posts up. Detroit funneled everybody towards their Free Safety (Wallace). Wallace was never a great one on one defender, but he thrived in the Detroit system which was designed for his shot blocking abilities. Helluva rebounder in his day's here in Detroit. But like Rodman before him, he refused to put the ball back up on the glass on the offensive end. Instead he would kick it back out. Could have averaged 12 pts. a game if he just shot his offensive rebounds. Neither Wallace or Rodman would do that. It was frustrating to watch at times.

I'm all for winning a championship immediately and not worrying about the future. You think O'Neal/Beasley gives the Heat a better chance next year than Boozer/Kirilenko?

If I were Cleveland, that's exactly where my head would be. The window to win a championship is very narrow. At least until LBJ inks an extension. Detroit seems to be shooting to just stay in the playoffs for this season, and trying to contend in two seasons.

Boozer/Bealsey/O'Neal/Wade/Chalmers starting line-up would just about be as good as ANYONES starting 5.

NOW, if they pull a miracle and pick-up Lamar Odom....then things get a little more sticky...

But I will give them Haslem/O'Neal AT BEST.....

Answer the question. :) For next year, do the Heat have a better shot at a title with Beasley/O'Neal or with Boozer/Kirilenko?

How in the hell are you going to get Boozer without giving up some of that young talent?! You can't have your cake and eat it too Salsa.

Your damn straight. The only year that matters is next year. Everything is riding on the 2009-2010 season. It's going to be a pressure cooker and we're really going to see what these boys are made of.

You can't answer the question simply because ANOTHER monkey wrench was thrown in there....Lamar Odom.

AND, neither Boozer NOR Kirilenko will play center.

Beasley/O'Neil/Boozer over Boozer/Blount/Kirilenko....how's that?:D:)

The Pistons desperately need to add a center. All we have is Kwame Brown. (God help us). I don't see how we can contend for anything with just him. I wonder if New Orleans is still shopping Chandler.

You guys should've made a run at that Polish Sausage, aka Marcin Gortat. I was impressed with what I saw of him last year and I definitely think he's starting material in this league.

I have read in a couple of publications that Chandler is/isn't being shopped....I am sure that if a decent deal come along, they will bite. The question always is, WHO has what to give up without adding payroll AFTER the 2010-2011 season..?!

That must be one MASIVE boner, because no one in their right mind would consider a Boozer for Haslem swap an equal trade!

It has NEVER been offered or suggested as a straight up trade one for one. From local news here, it has been EITHER a Boozer for Haslem/Blount, Boozer/Chirilenko for Beasley/O'Neal or Boozer for Haslem/Blount/Wright.

Kwame Brown LOL....I feel bad for you Paul....One of the greatest days in Lakers fan's history is when they got rid of Kwame.
