Erin Andrews was "Peeped" at Hotel

It's not about blaming the victim. Look, I once left a BRAND NEW laptop in the back seat of my truck. The back windows were tinted AND there were newspapers on top of the laptop where you BARELY SAW IT. Guess what, they broke in and stole it. IS it my fault some scumbag crook had the audacity to break into MY truck and take MY laptop??!! HELL NO! BUT, I should have been a little more responsible in the fact that someone could have been watching me....scoping me out.

I'm sorry, but this analogy is assinine. Erin Andrews was not naked in the backseat of a truck with tinted windows. She was in a hotel room.

...I don't know about you....but even at home, I still close my blinds...as well as my wife and children, when we change our clothes.

We all thank you for that. ;)

But Erin Andrews was not taped through open blinds. She was taped through a peephole she had no idea was there.

If you found out someone drilled a hole in the wall of your house or apartment and taped your wife naked, would you say she should have been more aware of her surroundings?

Again...like always, your knee jerk reactions lead to the usual foolish remark!!

The comparison is that SOMEONE was watching me to become a potencial victim of a crime. HOW in the world did this guy KNOW it was Erin Andrews UNLESS he had been watching her/possibly stalking her....might have seen her walk around naked the night before...drilled a hole in HOPES to catching her walk around naked again.

...in other words....for the 100th time...he probably stalked her before he commited the crime. Like I was stalked/watched before the crime was committed against me.

You're inserting an incredible amount of opinions and suppostions. Neither you or anyone else right now knows what this guy's (assuming it's a guy) motivations or methods were.

Any 'He probably stalked her...', the whole 'night before' scenario and everything else you said are pure assumptions, and are not based on anything but your own imagination.

Imagination...?!! Tell me Dick Tracy....HOW did he/she know it was Erin Andrews??!! JUST answer THAT question..

...EITHER he worked for the hotel and therefore KNEW she was stay in that room OR he was part of her traveling group and was stalking her....THAT is the only way.

...your are not naive enough to think this was random....and this person GUESSED it was Erin Andrews do you?

I don't know...and neither do you. ;)

But everything you're saying is just an assumption. As with any guess if whole truth ever eventually comes out you may be proven correct to some extent...and you also may be proven incredibly wrong.

Bottom line is you're just guessing.

Pretty or not, Erin Andrews is a professional. She is very good in what she does. Her knowledge of any sport she covers is as good as anyone, if not better. She has a great voice and her interviewing skills are second to none. No one, and I mean no one, had the right to violate her privacy. No ifs or buts about it. I hope they find the pervert and prosecute to the maximum.

If you believe this article Andrews was not ID'ed until several months after the video was originally posted. Not that it makes it right and it's still obviously illegal of course, but maybe the sicko that did it didn't know who she was. Wouldn't it be to their benefit to advertise that?? Are other women, celebrity or not, potentially at risk for this type of exposure??

NO one would have known that a sick voyeur had secretly videotaped ESPN reporter Erin Andrews nude in her hotel room, if the Mickey Mouse sports network hadn't sent a letter to an obscure Web site demanding that it take down its link to a fuzzy video of an unidentified blonde. The video had gone largely unnoticed since it first went up in February, according to a girlie-posting site, DonChavez.com.

There is ONLY two ways to know....either someone TOLD YOU it was her that knows...OR you know because you work there.....there IS NO OTHER WAY to know.

That is not guessing, that is basic common sense.

Of course he may have known who she was. It's quite possible. I'm not disagreeing with that. Not as definite as you want to make it sound, but quite possible. ;)

But your whole 'he probably stalked her...drilled a hole the night before...saw her walking around naked the night before...' is your own imagination, that's for sure.

The NY Post reported that it was ESPN that out Andrews by talking to the website in the first place
NY Post blames ESPN for outing nude reporter video - Yahoo! News
The New York Post says ESPN is to blame for identifying reporter Erin Andrews as the subject of a secretly filmed Internet video that shows a woman naked in a hotel room.
...
ESPN last week sent a letter to a Web site demanding that the video be removed. The person who posted the video didn't identify the nude woman
ESPN in turned banned the NY Post because they posted screen shots (with black bars added) from the video.
ESPN is banning Post reporters from appearing on the company's programs because the newspaper published three photos from the video.
I have to agree with the NY Post putting the blame on ESPN for the video going more widespread, because from the screen shots that the NY Post showed, it's hard to tell who it is.
ESPN REPORTED ERIN ANDREWS CAUGHT NAKED ON CAMERA THROUGH HOTEL ROOM PEEP HOLE - New York Post
The video and screen grabs first surfaced on the Internet under the title "Hot naked blonde who looks a lot like a sports blogger favorite in her hotel room," according to the sports-and-gossip Web site Deadspin.
The site on which the images first appeared didn't identify the woman as Andrews, whom Playboy calls "America's Sexiest Sportscaster."

Whatever floats your boat Sandra....I was using it as a possibility...

Man do we need OTHER female input around here.....

nobody would be watching if she hadnt told the media

You bring up a good point. IMO, I think it was foolish on ESPN's part to make such a big deal about this video. From what I could gather, the video didn't even identify the woman as Andrews. I will admit that after hearing all the press I went looking for the video and watched it. Chances are I would never know this video existed if it wasn't for all the press about it. And even if I did stumble upon it, there was no way you could tell it was Andrews.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the creep who taped it gets caught and prosecuted. But I think ESPN and the other media should have been more quiet about it.

Which goes back to my original question... HOW did this person KNOW it was her??!!

Exactly, and if the site did claim it was her, all ESPN had to do was deny that it was her. Very easy to do considering the blurryness of the video, and the dozens of celebrity fake videos out there.

I had this happen to me once. But the lady who peeped me told me to put my clothes on because I was making her sick. That was 50 pounds ago.

Maybe ESPN knew that the video came from someone who works for them. Who could have knowledge of audio and video equipment that could set up something like?? Hmmmmm. Maybe someone who works for a network television station??? That kinda make sense. This is all speculation of course.

especially...when HE agrees with me....

Yeah, Cosmo said this:

That was my point. They may not have (known it was Andrews) and that would lead to a potentially bigger issue that many women were targeted, not just Andrews....

And you said this:

....With her, maybe someone saw her walking around naked the night before. Saw she was a beautiful woman....and thought to themselves, maybe she will do it again. I mean HOW did he KNOW it was Erin Andrews UNLESS he was scoping her out.....??!!

Sounds like you two are in total agreement...on Opposite Day!
