On about half of the avi movies I come across, the audio is severely garbled or distorted and cannot be heard. I'm not sure what the issue is...anyone? I'm running it to an HR-20 700 with the latest update.

Also, I find my image gets stretched to fit my 16x9 tv. This is not a problem for native 16x9 sources, but for 2.35:1 videos, the black bars are removed and the image is stretched making everyone look tall and thin.

Has anyone had these issues and did they solve them? Thanks.

You may also have noticed that photos are squeezed up horizontally.

I use the MediaTomb server on Linux, which does transcoding through user supplied scripts. Scripts are available to supply side bars for videos to get the aspects right and to stretch .jpg files slightly horizontally.

Maybe there is some comparable adjustment that could be made for Tversity.
