Two thumbs down..

Hi Dee,

What the heck is this Chicken Little thing? I might be too tired to figure that one out. You will have to explain.
Sorry I came around too late to chat. Would be fun to chat tonight. The weather here is right in line for a fire
and staying inside! It is -4.9 F right now. Just makes a person want to go out for a swim! HA!

P.S. Did I mention global warming? Yes, global warming my foot! My foot that is frozen right now! LOL!

LOL!! The Chicken Little Channel aka The History Channel.

UFO's, Bigfoot, Unidentified Flying Men, Nostradamus, 2012, bla bla bla...
Nothing but nonsense, non-existent creatures and doomsday nonsense.
Wow, the History Channel sure has gone down the tubes.
The only thing I ever see of any value on there anymore is How the Earth was Made and The Universe. At least those try to present some degree of fact or at least scientifically based theory/speculation.

But the rest of it? Puhleeeeeze......... Most of that stupid stuff belongs on the science FICTION channel. And last time I saw the Science Fiction channel, there was nothing to do with science going on on there, just nonsense. Why people would pay to watch this stuff is beyond me.

But really, they need to ditch all the doomsday and bigfoot junk, it really undermines their image as a credible source of information.

Well, at least they have a few decent shows and it is free. I sure wouldn't pay for it, I would just have to say No Thanks and keep my money.

History Channel is my most watched channel.

Mail Call and Lock N Load with R. Lee Ermey rocks! Modern Marvels, Patton 360, UFO Hunters, Monster Quest all great stuff...the list goes on.

Second Most watched is History International on Direct TV.

Yeah, I have to agree with Bill_KY on this one, Dee. If it's that upsetting, and don't take this wrong, but there ARE more choices than watching things you don't like, change the channel. Phottoette is constantly coming to my room to see what I am watching so she can change the Sat position from RTV to History (or vice versa).

As you said, what you're watching IS free, and even though I don't always like what I see on History (or any channel for that matter) it's a simple case of switching channels.

Just my $.02

Just checked, it's a balmy -20 here:D:D

Time to put on the Bermuda shorts and the flyin' Hawaiian shirts and flip-flops! Pour up some Mai-tais and sit on the beach! Don't forget your sun screen! :D

Don't you just love this weather? I was able to get my car out of the drifts so that I could drive to the mailbox and get the mail.

Out back of the house, a deer had come looking for the fallen apples.

Ha ha! I'll have to agree with you, especially on the UFO and Bigfoot episodes. And I even like to listen to Art Bell!

I actually saw bigfoot once. Really I did! I was four years old and we were on vacation near Sheridan, Wyoming when I saw IT. They tell me that IT was just a moose, but I know what I saw and IT was BIGFOOT!

I enjoy the Universe, How The Earth was Made and Modern Marvels. Although I admit watching a few times, what does Ice Road Truckers have to do with history?

History Channel used to air more programming about history. Like why is wrestling on the the SyFy channel? Who knows but it sells advertising.

Some channels evolve over time. Remember when TNN became Spike. I didn't see that coming.

It is interesting, but I don't quite get that one either. Now, take the program about the AlCan highway, now that was a great one! There was a lot of history in that and a lot of science and nature at the same time. I would like to see them air that one again so that I could record it and watch it at will. Very interesting and they brought up all sorts of history and issues that had to be contended with.

My favorite one of all time is "Alone in the Wilderness", the story of Dick Proenneke. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYJKd0rkKss"]YouTube- Alone in the Wilderness[/ame]

There is a lot more to this that what is shown on the YouTube segment. I have it recorded, the full version, but I gave it to a friend and haven't got it back yet. Do you like it? Isn't this amazing? This is living!

Radar,
Very Christmassy pictures! But you can keep it, lol. If we had that much snow here, and it stayed more than 12hours, everything in the state would shut down.

I have that recorded too. I would have no issues living like that...nobody around me and dont have to worry about dish restrictions :)

Ice, you'd really like it here in NW AZ, 2.5 acres, 8 dishes up, most are operating, three more to install or mount, neighbors rent FROM either me or my sister, only 6 houses on the block and that is almost 3/4 mile long, 28 degree low last night, but the closest market is 17 miles East or 22 miles West, and electricity goes out with most storms. HOWEVER, it does snow at least once a year here.

Pic 1, small grotto, but moving most of these to further back behind the house
Pic2 and 3 are a downpour, typical of this area, see storms from miles away
Pic4, what we "have to put up with" on most nights.
