MRV Problems

Ok, that seems to hit something there.

go to menu>setup>systemsetup>networksetup

Then hit restore defaults. Make sure you don't hook this back up to the ethernet cable. It won't let your MRV work.

If this didn't resolve your issue, I would give it a red button reset and then check everything.

I reset the network settings to their default (ethernet has been/is still unplugged). Still getting the same diagnostic error.

Reset the receiver with the red button. Still getting the same diagnostic error.

Have you done a reset through the Menu yet?

Menu>setup>systemsetup>reset>reset everything.

This should put everything back to factory defaults.

Did you get this resolved? I am having the same problem, but with a different setup.

My setup is 3 HR24-500's and an HR20-100.

Ok Dan9980 Lets try this.. Doing a rest on the Swim Adapter..

1st Unscrew the 2 coax cables that are plug into the black Swim power adapter.
2nd Now unplug the Black Swim Adapter and wait for the green light on top to go off it to go off. This way we know the unit is completely shut down.
3rd Once the green light is off plug the black adapter back in.
4th Then screw your 2 coax cables back on the black swim adapter.

After you have done this go back to the receivers run the Multi Room setup make sure it runs then run your network setup go to advance and make sure the receivers get on the net.

Ok. Here is my SWiM setup.

4 cable splitter -> Black SWiM adapter -> 3 HR24 & 1 HR20-100

3 HR24's hooked straight to the splitter and the HR20 has the adapter.

None of mine can access the internet because they are not hooked up. How do I do that?

If you are using Deca for the network then you need to have an extra Deca adapter to hook up to the internet.

Get the Broadband DECA and what I had my installer do was run a cable drop to my room where my router was. Then all I had to do is plug the coax patch cable to the DECA back to the new cable jack. Then plug a small network patch cable into my router then plug the power adapter in then thats it. The new cable drop goes back to the Swim switch so when your get everything plug into the DECA thats it that will get all your receivers on the net plus MVR as well.

FYI this the $25 internet connection fee Directv charges to install the BB deca.

At least with my HR 24 I needed the black power adapter and the white box with the green lights and you can't put the ethernet cable into the port on the HR 24, it goes into the white box.

Right now I just want them to see each other's play list.

Did you do the rest on the Swim Power Adator?? Most time that will fix those kind of issues..

The rest of what? The Directv tech was the one who installed everything.

Might Try This Ramy.. Doing a rest on the Swim Adapter..

You might try this and see if it helps. :)

I did all that already when you posted it before.

When you say net, do you mean network or internet? Mine are not connected to the internet.
