Choosing Satellite for Channel Guide

Does anybody else dislike the fact that when you are in the main channel guide (the one you get when clicking OK while watching TV), and press the Sat key, the satellite list is in some weird order. It's NOT listed alphabetically, or by position. It seems to be listed by order they were scanned!?

Is there a way to sort them alphabetically or by sky position?

(Remember, I'm talking about the satellite list that appears when you are in the channel list, and want to choose a specific sat, not the satellite list in the setup menu.)

I have not found away, would be nice if you could.

Deleting TP's

Is there a way to delete TP's on this thing? I see a way to delete all channels from a TP in the "Edit Channels" menu. (It's called "Delete TP Channel" or something, which is a choice that pops up after choosing to delete a specific channel.) But, I can't find a way, other than using their channel editor, which I hate to use because it screws with other channles on my list.

NEVER MIND. I AM AN IDIOT.

If it were a snake, it would have bit me on a plane.

I might be having a D'oh moment, but I went to the Neutron site and cannot find the programs STBDBManager
or STBDBMLoader or the channel master editor.

Where does one get those?

I found the Neusat SP6000 STBDBManager channel Editor it is Data Version 24
and it will work with the SP6000 Production Factory firmware, the one that was posted earlier would not work with the factory Firmware

I was thinking about selling mine also.. but since I found the Channel editor and I can edit the Channels list, I'm keeping it. I grown fond of it over the past few weeks lol If I had some extra cash I would buy yours.

I was using version 25 of the editor. I wonder if 24 works better?

Data Version 24 works with the factory firmware, the first time I tried to run it it would not work, I then ran it in the Windows 98/ME compatibilty mode and it worked great... I then tuned the compatibilty mode off and it worked with out it.

Great deal, I purchase 2 on Craigslist a few months ago locally for about $20.00 both
One was Premium model and other non. Don't really use them, they sit in garage until someone in the family wants FTA one day.. hehe

I finally got this receiver hooked up. Using my 8' dish I scanned in Galaxy 17.

Questions:
1) Why did the "blind scan" take 1 hour?
2) How do I edit channels?
3) Has anyone manually added the CW channels on Galaxy17 with this receiver? I finally was able to edit the frequency and PID's, but the CW channels don't appear. Instead it says "scrambled channel".

You just need to play with it

Sounds like you just need to play around with it and find some newer firmware. No reason for it to take an hour to Blindscan...

Also the CW channels have to manually entered and they will come in...

My 6000 works fine and has never taken that long to blind scan anything unless I had my lnb settings wrong...

It also have the option to change meter types...

you can manually enter TP's and PID's very easy..also edit and name channels and edit and name sats..

you can do most anything with this little box...it just take some times going through the menu and sub menus...

Several things are kind of hidden and unless you look close you will over look them...

CW should be no problem at all...

Popcorn, if you read all this long thread I think it mentioned someplace that those receivers scan all the way to 12900 on ku not sure about c-band, that may be the reason its taking so long. Maybe you can hit the exit button when it goes to 12200 and stop it. I have an old Buzz rec that does the same thing, have to scan V then H and hit the exit button at the right place and save channels each time you blind scan. Doubt there's any newer firmware for it any place, unless you can find some now-defunct hacker files. IF those were ever used for hacking......

Thank you guys for the suggestions. I finally was able to edit the frequency and symbol rate of EWTN to CW and then edit the PIDS, but only a blank screen appeared saying the stations are scrambled. I'll keep trying. All in all I really like this receiver and the picture quality out of the component output is excellent.

I can tell by Iceberg's screenshots that the receiver I have has hacker firmware installed due to all the Dish Network options within the menus.

Could anyone please provide me with the latest released firmware for this receiver? I sure would appreciate it! This could possibly also resolve my 1 hour blind scans that I am now dealing with.
