yeah I know its up but I can't find it search for it here.

But if I go in my web browser I get a popup box where I can click it and it takes me to the app to download it.

I am looking for the URL so I can make a QR code for the homepage.

It's those square images, kinda like a bar code. Your phone's camera can "read" it and go to a URL, etc, etc.

I've been trying to download the app for the last hour and it keeps failing.

I had trouble too but got it now. It appears that it takes awhile for new programs to propagate in the Google Market.

I couldn't even find it when searching the Google Marketplace, but now everything is coming up here.

I've had a Gmail account for years but I've never used it for anything (had WinMo and Hotmail) until I got the EVO. Hmmm. I wonder if my wife and I can share apps if we use the same Gmail account?

The apps are easy to copy off of the phone. Just search for apk you are looking for and copy it over. I think you have to be rooted though. I haven't tried it but might have to in a bit.

Works just fine...sent an app via bluetooth to another epic and it installed on the other phone just fine.

Was it a free or paid app? I would think that there would be a little more protection for the paid applications.

Some program by slingmedia... and yes I uninstalled it afterwards. She wouldn't use it anyways.

This is the difficult method... I just used root explorer.. but you get the point. Just backed up all of mine to my sdcard and dropbox for safe keeping. Newer isn't always better. http://theandroidsite.com/2009/11/2...and-paid-android-applications-for-root-users/

No it's not.....

If I rooted it, I would not need easyteather , right ?

Try pdanet. My friend has an unrooted Droid x and it works for him.

Yes, a rooted phone with a kernel that supports it (most do as they're almost all based on the same 'core') will do tethering. For Android 2.1 and 2.2, there's an app called simply "Wireless Tether" that I've used for a long time. Android 2.2 doesn't need that app as it includes the ability.

A lot of people also use PDANet but I know it doesn't work (well) for some but works flawlessly for others. There's a free version and a paid version -- not sure what the free one is missing though.

If I remember correctly the free version does not support HTTPS traffic.
