disappointing for the heat. and the games coming up are gonna be hell. these games ahead will prove how good or bad miami is. so far miami is proving the predictions i made before the season started correct. :(
i don't want to be right

Last night....they lost because they went away from what built up that 15 point lead.....attacking the basket. Their arrogance of FORCING 3-point shots lead to their loss.....mind you, the took 5 straight wide open 3s....and miss them all. Then there them Heat killer from the Pistons days...when the Knicks got frazzled...he was the calming factor that lead them to victory.

Just a horrendous shooting night by the Knicks...38% from 2, 26% from 3. Missed so many open looks. Gonna have to do better than that...

I think it was a good move. Hopefully, Davis, will be in the mood to play. When he wants to play, I would consider him one of the top point guards in the game....I would say top ten.

From what I'm hearing, this wasn't about Baron Davis or Mo Williams. Neither of their current contract is beyond 2 years. Neither would be in the Cavs future plans. This WAS all about the first round lottery pick though. They Cavs need to get younger, more talented and in the quickest way possible. Through the draft this can be accomplished. We'll now have 2 lottery picks next year.

Pistons today allegedly have a group of players who are "sick" and miss shoot around, rumor is its a rebel against the coach. I would hope that the fans would call in sick and not spend there hard earned money on this team of quitters

The Piston's baffle me.

It's being reported that the Pistons and Cavs had a deal in place to trade for the recently benched Rip Hamilton. Hamilton would've most likely been an instant starter with Cleveland. Hamilton though had a clause in his contract that would allow him to nix any deal, which he did. Why would you choose the bench over starting? He would've had a great opportunity to prove himself again here in CLE. Instead he'll be riding the pine in Motown. What a bum.

I've been saying that for awhile now. Its so irritating when they start going after three's. You were up. Keep attacking the basket and stop with the f#@;¥¢£ threes already!

THIS might help the HEAT...

....he will not solve their desperation at the PG, but he is better than what they currently have. We shall see....

Source: Mike Bibby headed to Heat

Mike Bibby and the Washington Wizards have agreed to terms on a buyout.

In a stunning move, Bibby, whom the Wizards acquired from Atlanta last week in a trade for Kirk Hinrich, gave up his entire salary for next season. The 32-year-old point guard had one year and $6.2 million left on his deal.

"He sacrificed some money in order to win a championship," said David Falk, Bibby's agent. "Once you're past 10, 11 years in the league, you want to be in a situation where you can win. He's got some attractive options open to him."

Bibby is eager to sign with a title-contending team after clearing waivers, and sources say the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers are interested in him.

Bibby will clear waivers on Wednesday. While Falk said Bibby has not made a decision yet about which team he will join, one source close to the situation said he's headed to Miami.

The source also said Miami is the front-runner for Troy Murphy. The Heat will have to cut as many players as they sign, and the source said Carlos Arroyo and Jamaal Magloire are the likeliest candidates.

However, Falk, who doesn't represent Murphy, maintained that nothing has been agreed to.

"I've been in touch with six or seven of the top teams," he said. "Nothing can be done until he clears waivers."

For Washington, the deal is a sweetheart one that will knock next season's payroll down to roughly $38 million, which is $20 million below the current salary cap.

From what I have heard there would have been a buy out thus he could have been a free agent. What a joke this once solid franchise has become :( Not sure new ownership if that ever comes can sae this mess

Mo Williams debut with the Blakers tonight. He did hurt his ankle and stayed in the game, which just ended, Clips lost to the Kings.

So uh, Bibby to the Heat is pretty much final. While I think it is a good move for Miami, who only had to drop Arroyo(dropping Arroyo alone would make their team better LOL), I think they need to hurry up and find a rotation that works. They are doing too much with rotation changes. All of the upper echelon teams have a lineup that they're sticking too(Lakers, Magic, Mavs, Spurs, Celtics before and after the Perkins trade, Bulls, etc etc). They need to pick a starting point guard. Whether it is Bibby or Chalmers, they just need to pick one and stick with him(although I doubt there is too much of a difference in what you'll get from each guy, the team needs to know who they are going to be counting on come playoff time). Same thing at center, too. I guess it is nice to be a fan of a team who's biggest problem is picking a role player that will play a small roll...

Agreed. and in the case of bibby, if the heat don't give him the ball then it will be pointless. This could be a good thing as long as they use him

Antwan Jamison breaks finger, likely out for season!

Oh well. The season is lost anyways. More minutes for the youngsters!

Even before the injury, he was playing solid minutes and provided good scoring.

I know the Cavs season is lost, but Jamison did a nice job during that rough stretch.

That trade for him last year looks pretty decent.

Since last year, the significant players we've lost are as follows:

LeQuitt
Zydrunas (free agent)
Shaq (free agent)
Delonte West (free agent)
Mo Williams (trade)
Jamario Moon (trade)
Antwan Jamison (season ending injury)
Anderson Varajao (season ending injury)
Leon Powe (cut)

Last night's starting lineup was as follows:

PG- Ramon Sessions
SG- Anthony Parker
SG- Alonzo Gee
PF- Samardo Samuels
PF- JJ Hickson

It's amazing what a year can bring.

If you put together an eight-man rotation out of the eight, above named, departed players not named Lebron, you'd have a losing team.
