so all these new promotions are for new customers, am i right? if not please excuse me, whats in it for us existing customers?

My usual answer to that is, you got some sort of deal when you first signed up as a new customer. Dish can't keep giving service below their cost, which sometimes the first few months or year are. But in this case, didn't you just get a movie package free for a year? (or a substitute - platinum plus, etc...?) And/Or get the one month of cinemax free? Or get the two years of cinemax for 1 cent? (didn't see Disney complain about that!) Or the ocassional free ppv? Or the free weekend of HBO? Or free JapanTV during the earthquake/tsunami? (Still free for newscasts during the day)
What about the free previews all year, that I don't get as a Top250 subscriber? You got those. (Unless you too get top250)
Hell, maybe my bill would be less if they stopped giving so much for free :)

don't want free service, just saying that everyonce in awhile an offer should be for an existing customer, don't think i'm getting free service when i am paying over 100 bucks a month, i got 6 free ppv coupons and 3 months free of dish platinum thats what i have gotten, alot the stuff you mentioned i didnt get cause i already have it and tv japan i can't get it cause i'm on the western arc

Disney movies are not on Cinemax so they could care less about that 2 year offer.

You can get TV Japan if you upgrade to a 1000+ dish. Upgrade would cost $100 though.

BTW I should note that I said I was disapointed with Charlie portion of the event and I even said that it seemed scripted to me.

I was told by many at DISH that Charlies portion was 100% NOT SCRIPTED. Charlie and Bob have known each other for 30 years so the jokes they were bouncing off each other have been in play for a long long time.

Still don't get it I guess. You DO want free stuff, you said it again. Obviously (or so I thought) I didn't mean you could get everything offered, but alot of the time there are indeed free things you get. And you got the same or similar free things when you first signed up also as new customers now gets. You want free or reduced cost when you sign up, and want free or reduced price just for being a customer. I am suggesting Dish is doing that, without giving away the store and closing shop.

How long have you been a Dish customer?

Yep, it's the same complaints every day. I would suggest customers to put themselves in the company's and retailer's shoes once. People need to think about things from another perspective instead of always thinking about themselves.

Good luck with that!

When you find that Utopia, don't tell anyone else where it is.

You have every right to speak your mind. I am pointing out that your premise or complaint does not make sense to some of us. I gave a list of some of the free promo's we get as current customers. I don't know your circumstance of course, but most people do get some kind of price break when they are a new customer. You just picked a bad time to say current customers should get things too, when Dish just gave a year of Starz for free,(or in some cases an alternative), just finished two years of Cinemax for a 1 cent, plus many other possible free programming.

i know that if everyone got free stuff all the time it would bankrupt a company, i have took a few things off the past few months to save some money

I would say you got very close to what I see for a reduction, often $10 for 12 months. You are close to that, just spread out.
