iCloud discussion thread

How do you delete a photo in photo stream? I deleted the photo in camera roll but is still on my photo stream on ipad 1 and iPhone 3GS.

What is home sharing in the music settings and how does it work?
May or may not have something to do with iCloud?

Home sharing allows you to stream music and video from your home computer. You need to be on the same network but it allows you to watch or listen to it without syncing it to your device.

Bluetooth 4.0 gave me skip/ forward and back with my music. Skip forward on Pandora and 30 skip on recorded radio programs from tunein radio app.:)

Unless you were part of the beta it isn't. They have not released the music piece to the general public yet.

Right now the only music you have in "iCloud" is stuff you purchased; but that's been available to folks for more than a month. In iTunes, go to Purchased, and you have access to everything you have purchased, plus the same with tv shows.

itunes match is in beta. When YOU have it -- which won't be until 1) There is an itunes update; 2) you purchase match for $25; and 3) you hit the start to add a computer; then in iOS devices you'll have cloud icons in the Music.app where you will know if a song is in the cloud, or on your device.

Do you actually consider that part of the iCloud? I don't consider those to be part of iCloud as that was available even before iCloud was.

Thanks

Which of course, outside the APPs for me, is nothing. :D

Posting this in two threads: but I just went through this on my own today, setting up iCLoud on my wife's iPad, but managing to keep the family (well, MY) Apple Id for purchases.

Configure iCloud for Multiple Apple IDs

According to this article, it doesn't work very well when you share a Mac. So are you using multiple computers? In my case I have an iPhone, my wife has an iPhone, my daughter has an iPod touch, and we have an iPad that's somewhat shared amongst the family. Although I'm the primary user of the iPad. So what would be recommended in my situation?

Sure it is part of iCloud, you can stream everything you own (bought from itunes) and it does not count against your storage. How is that not part of iCloud? They introduced the ability to access your music - to download - during the beta- but I can stream it on my match- equipped iPad from the cloud.

Today I received a pop-up asking if I wanted to install new stuff for i-Tunes,Mobile Control, and Safari. There was a note at the bottom stating that Quicktime would not be installed. If this is true, what will be the downside of it?

How can you steam it? From my understanding right now you can only download purchases not stream them unless you have a developer account and are on the beta. This is why I don't consider it part of iCloud.

WITH the developer account, itunes Match is active (on the iPad anyways), and you just touch the song name and it starts to stream. If you click the cloud icon, it downloads.

We are just nit picking now. You see that it is active and I don't and we both state the same arguments for the reasons. I can't stream so to me it is not there but you can with the developers account. Once I can stream I will join your opinion on the subject. ;)
