HDMI Switch Pink Picture

I bought a cheap HDMI switch off EBAY. The picture looks fine with my Blue Ray selected but when I select my H23 DVR the picture is pink and no sound. What kind of HDMI switch works with Directv?

I think the key word here is cheap! How long are the cable runs?

Same thing will happen if you have your Component cables not connected tight, or in the wrong input.

I get this on a WD Live box when running through a (cheap) autoselecting HDMI switch. It's got to do with the switch borking the digital handshake. The switch I use has a remote for manual selection.. If I switch to the WD input from something else (automatically or maunally), I get a pink screen, but if I press that input number a second time, it renegotiates the connection and it works fine (only the WD Live box does it regardless of what port it's on, not the D* receiver or bluray). If your switch has a remote, try that. Also might try not powering on the D* receiver until after you've switched the switch.
