2012 NFL Draft

I know that they need a back up QB behind Peyton Manning & because of both Peyton's health & age, they need to groom a future QB to eventually replace him. Brock Osweiler gives them that future QB. The Broncos also need a veteran back up QB who can fill in immediately if Peyton was to get hurt this season.

Them trading down had NOTHING to do with Weeden. The players they wanted went early, and they knew the others they wanted were later round picks. They tried to get value by trading down, but failed miserably.

They don't need a veteran QB, they signed Caleb Hanie, who filled in when Jay Cutler went down last year.

Well I'm officially happy that the Broncos took Brock Osweiler.

You are one of the few that is happy.

We have much more CURRENT needs than QB, with future drafts to get our future QB.

On his conference call, Brock said that "Jack Elway is one of my best friends." Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Broncos' Nation is thinking that Elway is blowing the draft so far.

This is true.

The value out of our trades and the picks we have been getting has just been horrible.

Here is one persons summary -

Hopefully tomorrow is better than today. We start by taking a DT graded at 47.5, the 58th ranked defensive lineman. We follow that with a 5th ranked QB, a position not needed. Then we finish it off with the 11th ranked RB with a grade of 69.2. Plus we pay too much to move up and don't get enough to move down. All in all not an award-winning day in Bronco land. Like I said, hopefully tomorrow is better.

Hmmm, maybe Elway will use him in the Front Office instead !

Apparently Elway was going to get him no matter what. Elway would have drafted him if Tebow was still QB of the Broncos. Maybe the Broncos are planning to fill their immediate needs through free agency. I think the Broncos drafting Ronnie Hillman at RB really riled the Broncos faithful, check that,I KNOW it did, because the Broncos' fans felt that there was a better RB than Hillman still available(Lamar Miller?).

Steelers get a steal with Shawn Spence from the U. Dolphins also pickup a local favorite AND when healthy, was one of the better RB in college football, Lamar Miller..from the U.

That's a nice pick for the Dolphins, don't think he will contribute this year but he's a 1st round talent that will help them in 2013. I don't understand why they haven't addressed their need at wide receiver.

Redskins pick up a 2nd QB in Michigan State's Cousins.... 2 good QB....not bad.

While I like Cousins, I don't understand the pick. I thought they would of learned from the Shuler/Ferrotte debacle. To me you have to concentrate of teaching Griffin and the ideal situation is to have 2 veteran back-ups. Nothing wrong with drafting your "Matt Flynn" in 1 of the next 2 drafts.

I found it odd as well.

How many QB's do they have now ?

Glad to hear ...
What can you tell me about Spence ?

A ball hawk. If I am not mistaken, he was in the top 5 in tackles for losses in the entire nation. A little small, more like a tweener between CB and OLB. BUT, he will be the fastest LB/DL you will have. Solid tackler that loves to hit, does not miss too many tacklers. His size prevented him from being a 1st rounder. He is THAT good.

But, what does that say ?

If RG3 fails they go to Cousins ?
Cousins is not good enough to start anywhere ?

RG3 has a bad day/quarter, look over your shoulder time ?

I certainly Hope not.

They have banked everything on RG3. Cousins and everyone in that organization knows its RG3. Period.

Thanks for the info .

Wonder if they will ever upgrade thier CB's ...
Hmmm.... you think, nah, would they play him at CB IF it gets him on the field early ?
