Not able to replicate. The microHD boots normally with the LNB Power selected to OFF.

Maybe a short in the cable or connection to the master STB?

It appears it has something to do with my splitter. It functions as expected using loop out on primary receiver when slaving the MicroHD. Probably a bad/going bad splitter.

Thanks for responding,

Is there anyway to have it so that the banner on the screen, when you just hit info once will show the Frequency, SR and Polarity? How about a small quality meter?

One group wants less another group wants more on the basic channel banner. Maybe move this to a discussion thread and see if there is a consensus.

Right now I am leaning towards a minimal channel banner, removing the EPG info as there is so little EPG data in North America. A typical viewer doesn't care about the geeky stuff that you or I am interested in, so that takes a second key press. :D

I know that is why I have not said anything, until now but this is geared toward the FTA people. I know that you are going to come out with a Glorystar mode one soon. Yes they would not care. Maybe it could be an option to set in the menu. I know just another key press to see it all, but just thinking out loud.

Is there a way to improve the Closed Captioing brightness level, and chouce on fount style? It's should not be hard to download off G-19 bird. My poor guy has to go minor surgury, since I am upgrading my old 90 CM dish to 1.1 meter dish.:):hungry:

So I am taking it easy for the time being....

The font style cannot be selected, but the luminence level will be increased.

Not sure what you are referring for the G19 download.

a feature I found useful on my Viewsat Ultra was to sort channels by orbital location. it helps to prevent excessive motor movement when you have a channel surfer in the house. I can't find it in the stb menus or the Ali Editor program and MediaBox Editor Studio gives error n9.

In the Channel List, "ALL Satellites" will motor between satellites as channels are selected or select the Satellite Name to view channels by satellite.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned previously but I'd like to see a bit more in the Blind Scan screen. It could show the Quality and Signal bars on the bottom so you can see how your alignment/dish size are managing.

It could also show exactly which Frequencies it is analysing by having them roll through the screen in real time. I do not get what it is trying to show currently, some TPs say "...", some "ok", and others "Fail" and it can't be listing all of them because a blindscan would have way more than are being reported. The current system could make sense but you'll see the dish move from 89W and begin analysing 91W while it still says "89w k G28 12161V 30000 ..." It seems to be a TP or two behind on the display at all times.

The MicroHD is great with lots of improvements over various things but the Coolsat 6000 Premium has some good ideas on how to show a blind scan in progress.

Regards, Steve

Back in the 'DVR" category, is there a way that if you stop playback, the unit can remember your location of stopping the next time you select that DVR file for playback to avoid having to start at the beginning again? Some kind of "last stop here mark" placed on the file during each playback such that when the end of playback file is reached, those marks are erased, ready for replay in full?

OK means it logged a channel
Fail means no channels logged. It could be a data transponder or you may have it set to "FTA only" and the transponder has a scrambled channel

small feature request....and this came about while using a different receiver

Any way to have it show when a channel is MPEG4? Now I know DVB-S2 is MPEG4 normally and when you hit info twice it says "DVB-S2" on the screen. But there are MPEG4 DVB channels and we dont know it is. A couple examples are
Punch TV on 95W
Cubana De Television on 97W

All it shows in the info screen is 480i. When I scanned on the Coolsat 5000 I couldn't find Cubana because its MPEG4 (so it logs it as a radio channel because it cant find the video PID)

Dont know if there is a way to incorporate that or not

I would love this feature. Been a couple times I wondered about a DVB transponder.

Will look into the ability to add this information/icon.

FYI, Openbox S10 has tiles that show what kind of video compression and audio compression are being used, so if that feature has been continued through the ALI chip line to the microHD's version, there should be a way to incorporate it into the OSD at some point.
