I've seen the Tigers on MLB a few times this year, but seems everytime I have time to watch FSD, they don't seem to be on ...

Yeah other teams seem to televise spring training games much more often than the Tigers. The Met's seem to televise almost every game. They are on FS Detroit tomorrow at 1:00 though. Set your DVRs.

Previous years, the Tigers would play thier Starters thruout the game, usually 7 innings the last week of the Spring ...
Wonder if they will continue that routine.

Not to happy though with tigers going with closer by committee. Maybe someone will step up and be a closer "most of the time"

Of the people available to them, who would you choose to be the full time Closer ?

Leyland spoke earlier in the ST about having alot of Closers on the team to get the job done, but No one that he thought could go a long stretch, such as back to back to back ...

Just asking ...

Personally, I would have gone after the yankee Closer Soriano when everyone expected them too.

Then again I never would have given A. Sanchez 80M either.
Could have saved about 20M (or more) signed him for 60M if possible, if not, let the Dodgers have him, think they were the other ones involved at the time. and then sign Soriano to a 20M 2 year deal and bring Rondon in slowly to learn the role like they tried to with Zumaya.

Heres hoping that Rangers SS Profair (AAA) tears up the AAA and is brought up quickly ...

Then by the trade deadline the Rangers will part with Elvis Andrus and he'll go to Detroit to shore up the D in thier infield .... I can wish/hope, right ?

Not sure, just don't want the committee thing to be the link that may cost them a title, hopefully they can get it done and maybe later in the year rondon will be ready

I'm not to worried about the closers. Most of the time they come in and only have to get 3 outs with no one on base and a couple run lead. If that is the worst part about our team I think we will be ok.

In other news the Tigers and Verlander have agreed to an extension that can go up to $202 million and 8 years. I don't care about the money or the fact that we will still be paying him until he's 38. I'm just glad to have him locked up for the rest of his career.

Thanks Ice....

Your Twins have thier Opening Day game planned for 4 pm Est.
Is that typical ?

I'm really happy about that as I will be home shortly afterwards from work and will be able to see the majority of it.
Had it been in Detroit it would have been a 1 pm start and I would have missed it entirely.

I really hate recording LIVE events, just too hard to Not see or hear whats happening till you get home.

Those 20 dollar pizzas are going to be 30 real soon :) what a payroll they are putting together, and they have some upcoming free agents as well.
