So did you order a new iPhone?

New iPhone does not seem want to connect to my Bluetooth in my car

It took me a couple minutes, but my problem was mostly not knowing how to get the car radio into discovery mode, but once I did, it seemed to work. It definitely had a spinning wheel (iOS-like, not mac rainbow :) ) on the iPhone in the discovery screen of settings for bluetooth.

Using my new iPhone at home and in a strong Sprint coverage area, the remaining battery was much more in-line with what I would expect. I know that I need better radio coverage in the office. I may try Airplane mode for the morning and see how much that helps.

Could you turn off cellular data and just use wi-fi? Granted that would kill the "phone", but who uses that anyways? :)

Today's battery report is better. I wonder if my phone is getting better about the coverage at work. I got home and I was close to 60%. If I give it another few weeks I wonder if I'll be up to 70-75%?

That was the first thing I tried, killing the cellular data. It wasn't until I put it in Airplane mode, killing the CDMA radio as well, that the battery stopped draining.

So much for today being a good indication of battery life. I ended up plugging in my headset and watched TWiT's coverage of the Apple Keynote via mobile. After almost two hours I was down to 50%. As I type this, I show 12%.

I'll see how tomorrow goes, but I am encouraged...

I groaned when I saw an email this morning in my inbox from Verizon about a change in the appraisal value of the iPhone 4S I recycled. Here it comes, it was too good to be true. Then I opened it. Instead of it being worth the $210 they told me initially, it was actually worth $210.02. Ok, then. :)

My wifes phone arrived about a week ago. Nothing but a [expletive] fest about Apple's shutting off Lightning cables that didn't pay the MFI ransom. Other than that, she's very pleased with the phone itself.

I just had my 5s replaced in New Year's Day at the apple store. First the "Genius" bar guy tries to tell me there's nothing wrong with my speaker. Whenever I called someone or vise versa it would be fine then it got super loud and then it was all muffled. So he says oh it must be the cell tower causing it . I said oh I don't think so! In the end it was replaced with a new one.

I'd highly recommend the glass screen protector. I know Verizon sells them. It's better than invisible shield. Display isn't affected either.

Why get a glass screen protector? I have had my iPhone 5 for 16 months and not a single scratch. I work in harsh environments all the time. Phone goes in my pocket a lot. Phones these days don't need screen protectors unless you slide your phone on rough surfaces all the time(ie gravel, tar, cement)

I agree. Not needed. That said, my 16 year old uses an invisible shield; he beats the crap out of my old phones, and it is a small insurance policy of sorts. But really, I don't think screen protectors are needed on iPhones at all. Or most phones for that matter.
