Tigers head to Cleveland to take on the Indians this evening. Elsewhere in the division, the White Sox are at Kansas City. Go Tigers!

One of the gals on MLB Network was doing the nightly recap yesterday and referenced "The Twinkies" when talking about them going against Seattle's Felix Hernandez. Too funny!

Random Tidbits...by Riff
* For the Tigers, this weekend marked the first weekend series sweep of the Red Sox at Fenway Park in 31-years. That sounds very 1984-era Tigers, which I like these kinds of comparisons (they are warranted).
* Rick Porcello, who is in his 6th year with the Tigers, is actually 2-months younger than the Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg. IMO, Porcello has greatly improved after he added that sweeping curveball to his repertoire.
* Porcello leads (tied) the major league in most major league baseball win since July 4th, 2013: Porcello 16, Greinke 16, Shields 16, Buehrle 15.
* Tigers are World Series Champs or Chumps this season! That's right. What else is there to achieve for the franchise to achieve? They already have multiple MVPs/Cy Youngs/ALCSs, etc. over the past few years.

The Tigers are still in-the-air due to plane troubles last night. They may not arrive at the ballpark for another hour or two. I wonder if they will be able to warm-up and get ready for tonight's game? We shall see.
Tigers flight arrived at 4:35 PM and they are now on the bus heading to the stadium. I guess they'll be suited-up by 6:00 PM and have an hour to get ready for the game.
I think it's harder to find stuff to post about because we have nothing to complain about so far this year. I'm still watching every night but my post count in this thread is way down because I can only say "they're playing well tonight" so many ways. I usually try to ignore the standings until around the 4th of July but we're currently 7 games up in the AL Central and there hasn't been a whole lot of drama. I'm definitely not complaining. These are all good problems. Just my theory on why the AL Central thread isn't as active this year. If the division race heats up the post count will go up with it.

Miggy has 3-hits this evening and we tied the game last inning...only to fall behind 4-3. We need Kelly to get a hit.
I had the computer in the shop for a few days and it's just not as easy to post with the Tablet.
Lets see if Ausmas pinch hits for Romine who's been striking out alot the last week.
He could bring Kelly in from CF to play short (if needed) and send Jackson to CF.

That's still a good plan because Kelly hasn't looked comfortable at bat this evening.
Just in time for our other Martinez to tie the game with a 9th-inning HR.
Sadly when they announced he was pinch hitting, I said to myself ... what a waste, ever since he's been up he's hit very little and hasn't hit for power that I have see ...
Then BAM !
I don't know, but I don't think we'll see him since the game is a tie. However, Miggy and Victor are coming to bat next inning...so we'll see.
