I've been having quite a bit of wind the past week. Several times my signal has been lost. This has made half a dozen or more recordings unwatchable. I'm talking 20-25 mph winds. The dish itself seems to be very secure as are all connections. Just wondering if this is normal.

That little wind shouldn't affect your ability to record. Sounds like something is loose somewhere.

I physically checked the dish and connections. Everything seemed rock solid. It's windy and raining right now and I am watching a locked up picture and a lost signal message. It's our rainy season here in Arizona now.

What are your signal strengths on all satellites now and when the weather is clear?

Yep, monsoon season is here!.....Are there trees in the line of sight that may move into view and block the signal?
I only get interruptions when the huge monsoon hits and its for 5 to 10 minutes....usually I just go to SD channels.(yes recording that's not an option)

If you post your signal strength numbers we might be able to help track down the issue.

Have you checked to see if the mast is still level ?

I'm on a 16ft post connected to the house at gutter height ...
Every so often I'll go out and shake the post to see if I lose signal. .... I haven't lost it yet so I must be locked in pretty good.

I have a kicker on mine....so just not the mast and post....another bar comes off and makes a second contact to the dish and home.....
Crazy stormed rolled through here 2 hours ago.......

Thats basically the way I am with mine, its connected to the house at the roof line just under the overhang.

Same here, mine is an under eve mount with a plate. The only time I loose signal is when it's like crazy downpour from monsoons. I even lose Cband signal in some of these walls of raiin. Wind does not effect mine. It sounds like the dish is off peak and he's losing signal when ever it rains. I'm in Tucson .

The tech just left. He installed two support bars on the dish. My highest signal strength was 60 so he made several adjustments and installed a new LMB. With that bad of signal strength I expect the problem will be greatly improved. Very knowledgeable and personable tech. Very satisfied.

What are your signal numbers now ?
Majority should be in the 90's.
